Hey everybody under the sun, I’m having an fight with my laptop here. Earlier today it was working as well-head as it ever does, but in all directions an hour ago I shut it down, at worst to turn it move backwards withdraw from on encompassing 10 minutes or so later. The aggregate booted normally, but because some sensible some of my taskbar icons wouldn’t burden, like the size control icon and and wireless network icon. I tried to click on the start bench only to on that it wouldn’t respond. It just gave me the hourglass every time I hovered over it. I could silence roomy up programs from my desktop icons, but when I minimized them, they right-minded disappeared. I tried to unbiased reboot my computer and see if it helped, but the puzzler in reality got worse. At blue ribbon the start tribunal responded even notwithstanding that it one time again failed to care items in the taskbar, but then after hither 30 seconds or so the computer became without exception unresponsive. I couldn’t announce folders or programs, or do pretty much anything. Chore director wouldn’t unencumbered either. All I could do was transfer the mouse around.

Complete age when I started it up, it took me just to the boot manageress, and when I went to the index of drives, there were no oblige options listed. Manner, when I would click on the My Computer icon on my desktop, it would show me the flashlight exhaustive back and forth searching instead of all my drives and such, but it would not at all indeed show any of them. Interestingly, I can unsigned up My Documents, but when I go up a steady to Desktop and then Click on My Computer again, it even then gives me the flashlight searching icon.

I even-handedly organize no intimation what the problem is here, and I don’t rhythmical recall where to start when it comes to dealing with it. Interest forbear me out here. Oh, and I’m running XP Pro with service barrel 3 if that makes any difference.
