Why
Christian Apologists have been using authority as a substitute for truth instead of truth as authority. Countless books, films and organizations run by Christian Apologists spend millions on hiding the general public from the truth for sakes of personal gain. There means of doing this is by deceiving the general public into believing their false claims. Such a system is both unhealthy for a society and morally wrong.
The truly disturbing part is that these are not merely accidental false claims but rather deliberate lines. Most of the claims made have been proven wrong for many years and the Apologists who are well aware of this keep preaching them as truth in hopes to deceive those who have not yet been exposed to the actual truth.
For example many Apologists quote Stephen J. Gould where he said, "the extreme rarity of transitional forms in the fossil record persists as the trade secret of paleontology" and uses this as "evidence" that scientists have not found enough transitional fossils to support the Theory of Evolution. However this is taken completely out of context as Gould is only referring to a specific clade and not evolution as a whole. In 1981 Gould even went on record clarifying this and also stating, "it is infuriating to be quoted again and again by creationists -- whether through design or stupidity, I do not know -- as admitting that the fossil record includes no transitional forms…" Apologists like Ray Comfort who are still very much aware of Gould's clarification in 1981 still continue to miss-quite him 27 years later.
This site is dedicated to exposing the lies of Apologists one dishonest claim at a time because true freedom can only exist in an honest society.
User Submission
All rebuttals on this site are user submitted. We do our best to screen all information posted to make sure the statements are accurate. If any posts are reported to be inaccurate they will be pulled from the site immediately. This site is not dedicated to making a statement, starting an argument or picking sides but rather its sole purpose is to seek and spread the truth. For more insured reliability pay extra attention to posts by users with a gold star next to their name. That means the entry was posted by one of our pre-approved volunteer staff members.
This site started out as a small Apologist rebuttal section of KnowReligion.net but as I soon realized there were far too many dishonest claims by Christian Apologists to be debunked by just one person alone. This is what inspired a user submitted site.
Format
Instead of being like most book review sites with long reports written up about each book this site gets straight to the point. By emphasizing on each claim individually we can more easily expose the dishonesty of each Apologist in a quicker manner. More importantly, when believers of these Apologists visit Lying for Jesus they will be more willing to look at a quick response rather than a lengthy report.
