What if the Bible were true?
We already know what the world would be like if the Bible were false. One only needs to wake up in the morning and open their eyes to see such world but what if the Bible were true? Below are just a few things that would be different about the world if the Bible were actually true.
1.
The Bible would be without contradictions
If the Bible were true it would not contain all the contradictions which it currently does and more importantly Christian apologists would not work so diligently in attempts to cover up the contradictions. For example, if the Bible were true it would not say that David killed Goliath since it already said in the lesser known story that Elhanan killed Goliath. Select versions of the Bible would not have change "Goliath" to "the brother of Goliath" in the Elhanan story even though the words "the brother of" are not in any of the oldest copies of scripture. Apologists would not have to dishonestly claim the Syrians shoved 10 people into each chariot to cover up the contradiction of 2nd Samuel saying "men of 700 chariots" and 1st Chronicles saying "7,000 men in chariots", especially since any historian knows these would have been chariots designed to hold only one person. The Bible also would not say Abiathar was the son of Ahimelech when most of the Bible says Ahimelech was the son of Abiathar. If the Bible were true it would not have any of the contradictions it is currently full of.

2. History would match up with the Bible
If the Bible were true then everything that we know about history should match up perfectly with the Bible. Currently the Bible says a great deal of things that are historically accurate, things that the men who wrote the Bible would have known of. The Bible currently also says a great deal of things that are not historically accurate. For example, the Bible places the birth of Jesus during two historical events that are separated by at least 10 years. Before the time which the Bible places the story of the tower of Babel there was not just one language but many languages including Sumerian, Chinese, and the Semitic languages. The walls of Jericho were destroyed by an earthquake in 2300 BCE and the city became inhabited long before 1400 BCE when the Bible says Joshua visited. Also, the Babylonian exile lasted 48 years instead of 70, there has never been a queen of Persia named Vashti, Nebuchadnezzar's son and successor was not Belshazzar, and Tiglath-Pileser was the Assyrian king instead of a man named Jareb. If the Bible were true history would not only match up partially with the Bible but perfectly with the Bible.

3. Nature would match up with the Bible
If the Bible were true then what we observe and know about nature would be quite different. A giant body of water just like the sea would be floating above the heavens and rain would be the result of windows opening instead of the process known as the Water Cycle. Also, earth would be in a fixed position, the pattern on cows would vary depending on what they look at, and the slime left behind by a slug would really be the result of the slug melting. If the Bible were true nature would be a great deal different in ways greater than these few examples.

4. We would live in a land of magic
If the Bible were true then not all phenomenons would be limited by the well known restrictions and limitations of nature. In the Bible we hear of supernatural stories of the earth and sun simultaneously standing still, magical strength-giving hair, a talking snake and donkey, a regular human walking on water, and a magical abundance of water covering even the tallest mountains. The Bible also tells us that anyone who believes in Jesus Christ can perform supernatural miracles even greater than the ones Jesus is said to have done. Yet in real life we do not see any of this but if the Bible were true then we certainly would. If the Bible were true the "acts of God" would not be limited by the limitations of nature, instead there would be supernatural acts observed regularly around the world. Not just unexplained acts but situations that defy the laws of nature.
(related verses include: Joshua 10:12-13, Judges 16:17, Genesis 3:4, Numbers 22:21-39, Matthew 14:29, Genesis 7:19-20, Matthew 21:22 & Mark 11:24, Mark 9:23, Luke 1:37, Matthew 18:19, Matthew 21:21-22, John 14:12)
5. There would be no hospitals
If the Bible were true there would be no need for hospitals. Trained medical professionals would be replaced with faithful Christians who could magically and instantly cure even the most devastating medical conditions. In the Bible Jesus says again and again that whatever a believer in Christ asks for in prayer will come true and that believers can perform all the supernatural miracles which Jesus did along with even greater ones. Jesus even specifically says that anyone who believes in him will be able to heal the sick by simply placing their hand on them and praying. In all given examples there was no need for any doctors, medication, hospitals, or surgery. Not even when Jesus when magically reattached a human ear. As long as there is one single Christian with a shred of morality in the world and if the Bible were true then all sicknesses and physical suffering would magically become obsolete in a split second.

6. There would be no Christian charities
If the Bible were true there would be absolutely no need for Christians to raise money for disaster relief or seek food donations for homeless shelters. Aside from being able to magically heal the sick and injured as previously mentioned Christians would also be able to magically generate food. The Bible says anyone who believes in Jesus can perform all the miracles Jesus did (and then some) just by praying. One of the miracles the Bible says Jesus performed was that of magically generating food for the hungry. If the Bible were true then Christians would be feeding all the hungry with magically generated food instead of just a few of the hungry with limited food donations.
(related verses include: John 14:12, Matthew 14:19-21, Matthew 15:33-38)
7. Failed prophecies would not have failed
If the Bible were then all of the prophecies it made which have failed would not have failed. For example, Damascus would not have been a continuously inhabited city with a population of well over a million people but instead it would have ceased to be a city and became a heap of ruins. Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon would have conquered Egypt and utterly destroyed it while slaying and scattering its people during his life time instead of failing like during his 568 BCE attempt. The Nile river would have also dried up, Egypt would have been uninhabited for forty years, and there would not be any uncircumcised people living in Jerusalem today or during the recent past. If the Bible were true all which have failed to happen would have actually happened.

8. The world would have already ended
If the Bible were true then Jesus would have already returned, the rapture would have already happened, and the world would have already ended. In the Bible Jesus says to the people before him that all the signs marking the end of the world would be fulfilled before that generation ended even though that generation ended about 2,000 years ago. Some have dishonestly claimed that "generation" should be translated to "race" to change the story to say, "this race will certainly not pass away until..." However that is an unsupported false claim and the Bible even has Jesus saying to the people before him that "some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom." If the Bible were true Jesus would have already returned and all the end-times prophecies would have already been fulfilled 2,000 years ago while those people were still alive.

9. There would be no natural suffering
If the Bible were true in regards to its claims of God being love and all-powerful then he would not allow or have created natural suffering. When the question of suffering arises many apologists tend to say stopping suffering would take away our freewill. However, not all acts of suffering are due to an act of will by man. A great deal of emotional and physical suffering results all the time from natural disasters which, if the Bible is true, were created by God. Some also say God uses natural disasters to bring out the best of us but a loving all-powerful god could find ways to inspire without the unnecessary suffering of the innocent. On a related note, do you know how many people get injured or die from the act of falling? If there was a loving all-powerful god that is beyond the limitations of nature then why do we have the force known as gravity? If what the Bible says were true about God we would expect to see a means of keeping our feet on the ground that would not be so dangerous. Why not have falling slowly ease towards the ground gently placing people and objects back on the earth's surface in a non-destructive manner? If there is a god who is not limited by the limitations of nature this should be a no brainer.
10. We should all be fundamentalist extremists
Since the Bible claims that there is a such thing as sin, Hell, and Heaven and that the act of homosexuality is a sin then as moral people we should all be doing everything we can to prevent homosexuality. Preventing equal rights for homosexuals and publicly demonizing the idea of homosexuality is the least that any moral person should do to help save people from an eternity of suffering even if such acts bring them them happiness in this current short life. Doing so will also prevent others from being aware of homosexual feelings and being at risk of the consequences for sin. If the Bible were true we should be doing all we can to prevent others from doing anything that is not in accordance with what the Bible says even if that means taking away one's rights, freedom, or happiness.

11. God would exist and should be stood up to
The overall evidence currently available proves that the god of the Bible does not exist and disproves all claims for reasons to think that he does exist. But what if God did exist and what if what the Bible says about him were true? Not only would the evidence disproving God not exist, God would also exist and be as the Bible describes him. He would be love but on top of that he would be a sexist, manipulative, and controlling, and fueled by jealousy, anger, and violence. He would be a god that is very unforgiving and seeks revenge through bloody massacres. He would also be a god who supports slavery, child abuse, murder, discrimination, and rape. Not just rape but he would be a god that uses the rape of women as a means to punishing the men/husbands who own them. If the Bible were true and this sort of god did exist then anyone with a shred of decency would not worship him or follow him. Instead they would stand up to him.
