Where is Heaven & Hell?
Everyone is familiar with the image of the Kingdom of Heaven sitting on top of the clouds. That is where almost every ancient culture believed Heaven really was. Pyramids, towers and temples were constantly built to bring people literally closer to the gods. Ancient man also placed Hell underneath Earth's surface. In the modern age we have extensively explored the heavens and beyond and know a lot about the Earth's core. Today the notion of a magical kingdom sitting on top of the clouds and a demon living in the center of the Earth is laughable at best. The Bible however is not laughing and tells us Heaven and Hell are physical places exactly as ancient man said.

Location of Heaven

Much like what ancient thought, the Bible also makes it clear that heaven is quite literally suppose to be sitting on top of the clouds. In Matthew 24:30/26:64, Luke 21.27 and Revelation 1:7 Jesus promised that his disciples would see him coming in the clouds of heaven. 1 Kings 18:45 mentions that during a storm, it is the clouds of Heaven that are the clouds we see turning black up above. Exodus 20:4 even goes on to state that heaven is above the Earth. In Genesis 11:1-9 the tale about the Tower of Babel tells of people building a tower up to the clouds to literally reach Heaven. As the people get too close to the clouds where the Kingdom of Heaven sits God destroys the tower so man cannot simply climb to Heaven. God then punishes man, not just for trying to reach Heaven but so they cannot unite and build other structures that would allow them to physically reach Heaven.

Location of Hell

In Matthew 12:40 we are told that just as Jonas spent three days in a whale's belly Jesus, when he spends three nights in hell, will be "in the heart of the earth." Ephesians 4:9 describes Jesus' time in hell as being a descent into the "lower parts of the earth." Several verses like Isaiah 14:15 describe Hell as being at the bottom of a pit but Numbers 16:32-33 makes it crystal clear that the Bible truly says Hell is supposedly in the center of the Earth. Numbers gives an account of people falling into hell alive and mentions that "the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them" and that they fell down "into the pit, and the earth closed upon them."

How to Get to Heaven
According to Christianity the only way to get into heaven is by knowing, loving, worshiping and giving total faith to Jesus Christ. Your love and faith to Jesus must be pure in your heart and you show this by being faithful to all of his teachings in the Bible. How good of a person you are or what good deeds you have done is of no importance, all that matters is worshiping Jesus.

Worship Jesus or go straight to Hell for all of eternity. Heaven & Hell are one of the best marketing campaigns the Church has ever come up with. If they can convince people of these two options and that their teachings of Jesus is the only way to save you from eternal damnation then people will easily and blindly follow what the Church says. Especially since they demand total faith, so you can't question or doubt what the Church tells you.
Instant Ticket to Hell
One of the most troubling questions for any Christian to answer is "What happens to those who die before finding out about Jesus?" What about those who lived in remote islands or secluded cultures that have never been introduced to the teachings of Jesus? What about all the babies and children who have passed away before ever getting a chance to learn about Jesus? When the story of Jesus was first written only a very small percentage of the world would have even heard of him. Did the other people get sent straight to Hell?   According to the Christian faith, yes, they have all gone to Hell without a chance for Heaven. The Bible clearly states that everyone is born sinful and have "fallen short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23) and that the only way to be saved and capable of going to Heaven is by following the word of and worshiping Jesus Christ. Was the fate of all these people part of his divine plan and were they created with the intention of being sent straight to Hell?   Some will say that knowledge of Jesus Christ is within all of us allowing everyone a chance to accept Jesus but that is not the case. If it were there would be no need for the Bible, prophets or the Church. More importantly there has never been a single person in human history that had knowledge of Jesus Christ until the stories of him were spread by man out of Christianities birthplace where it was first preached by Paul.

Still Think Otherwise?
If you still think those who never heard of Jesus can still get to Heaven then you must ask yourself, what's the point of preaching his word? People who learn of Jesus become at risk of going to Hell if they fail to follow all of his teachings perfectly. If people can go to Heaven without hearing of Jesus then telling people of Jesus only puts them at risk of eternal damnation. If you really thought this was the case then the moral thing to do would be trying to wipe out all knowledge of Jesus.

Is Heaven Heaven?
The term heaven means a place or state of supreme happiness. This is what the place Heaven from the Bible is supposed to be like, a place with only absolute and pure happiness. If for example you died and did go to this place called Heaven as described in ancient Bronze Age myths and found out that what the Bible said about the afterlife was true then you would also know that it's counterpart, Hell, was also true. Chances are very certain that you may not be able to find some of your friends, family, or loved ones in your new home because they would have been dammed to Hell. How could any good person truly be 100% happy when they know others are suffering absolute torture for silly things like not blindly believing what ancient man said was to be true? What about all the people who are rotting away in Hell because you failed to spread the message of the Gospel to them, how would that guilt sit with you? Some will say that God strips away all your tears in Heaven and you no longer will of have the burden of your memories so you will not morn for those who went to Hell. According to many you will not be sad because God will take away your memories but what are you without them. Memories and life experiences define who you are and shape us, if one is given the power to take them away then we become mindless puppets. It is morally disgraceful that anyone alive today can say they will be purely and truly happy in Heaven while truly believing so many others will be suffering for all eternity. You can't get more heartless than that, the day a Christian looks forward to most is the day that he/she gets rewarded while the mass majority of the world is sent to an eternity of torture and suffering.

Animals in Heaven?
Many people share a very close bond with animals. Dogs have even been given the title "man's best friend." So, do animals like the adorable and precious little pets that we loved growing up get to join us humans in Heaven? NOPE, not according to the "Good Book."

Ecclesiastes 3:18-22 talks about how people are a lot like animals. We both breath, we are all from the dust (supposedly) and we all return to dust. There is one key difference though that this passage mentions. It states that the spirit of "the sons of men" goes upward and the spirit of animal "goes down to the earth." When an animal dies that is it, their spirit just goes down to the earth back into the dust from whence it came instead of upward towards Heaven like human spirits.
